Mary Jewel (Parker) Hammock was born October 15, 1935, in Rocky Ford, Georgia. She passed away in her home Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Jewel worked as a registered nurse who had a heart for the elderly. She was a devout Christian who would be found most nights reading her bible.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Albert Hammock, the love of her life. Also preceded in death her sister Carol (Tommy) Browning, and two brothers Gordon (Tony) Parker, and Lawrence (Barbara) Parker.
She is survived by her two Sons: Jim (Sherry) Hammock and Cliff (Peggy) Hammock
Two siblings: Betty (Frederick) Sheffield and Howard (Betty) Parker.
Grandchildren: Tamara (David) Vogel, Rachel (Bradley) Delaney, Sarah Hammock, Colton Hammock, Erin Camp, and Eric Huebner.
Great-Grandchildren: Brayden Fontano, Zane Vogel, Lylah Vogel, Mercie Hammock, Cade Camp, Farrah Camp, Naomi Camp, Cole Huebner, and Reid Huebner.
Multiple nieces and nephews.
Jewel will always be remembered for her sweet demeanor and loving acceptance of everyone. Anyone who met her was enchanted by her charismatic personality and could not help but be drawn to her. She loved her family, and humbly portrayed a shining example of a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Though we know she's in heaven with Jesus, our Savior, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
