Mary Theresa Glidden, age 81, formerly of Brockton, Massachusetts passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024.

She was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in 1961,  received her Registered Nurse Diploma from Massachusetts General Hospital in 1969, and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Boston College in 1976. Mary was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Parish. At St. Peter, she provided support for members of the community, including supporting individuals facing homelessness or needing financial and quality of life assistance. Throughout her life and career, Mary committed herself to supporting those in need. She was an extremely accomplished nurse working in a number of prestigious hospitals before moving into executive nursing roles focused on improving organizational processes and procedures to better support staff and ensure positive patient outcomes and experiences.

Mary is preceded in her death by her parents Alexander and Mary Elizabeth McMullen. She is survived by her two daughters and three grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at St. Peter Catholic Parish, 359 West New York Avenue, DeLand.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Lohman Funeral Home, 935 East New York Avenue, DeLand.
