Mary Lou Doepker , 83, Ormond Beach Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, Ormond Beach.

She was born March 17, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Walter and Louise (Kamphause) Fischer.

Mary Lou was a self-employed Cosmetic Chemist with a talent for making shampoos, anti-age creams, and sun screens. She owned The Bewitching Woman / Mary Lou's Perfumery, a boutique and perfumery in Cauley Square Historic Village in Miami from 1979 – 1990.  While her expertise was in the cosmetic field, she enjoyed working on other formulas such as gels for medical batteries and embalming fluids.

She was a graduate of McNicholas High School in Cincinnati, and attended Xavier University, University of Miami, and Florida International University, where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Organic Chemistry on her 40 ^th birthday, while raising her three children and battling breast cancer.

Mary Lou was a long standing member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. She had a passion for travel, crossword puzzles, sculpture and hanging out with the girls in her neighborhood. She enjoyed watching "her" game shows Jeopard y and Wheel of Fortune , and could answer every question and solve every puzzle before the contestants could.

She was a very loving mother, (except during her naps, Jeopardy or The Wheel) and is survived by her three children, Kristina Wells, Kathryn Grimsley, Gregory Doepker, and her seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her three younger brothers, Thomas R. Fischer, Joseph E. Fischer, and Mark C. Fischer.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mary Lou's children held a private tribute in her honor.
