Mary Louise Deyo 67 of Holly Hill FL passed peacefully at Florida Memorial Hospice Care Center Daytona Beach FL on January 6 2013. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Friday January 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Ormond; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services. Mary was born April 22 1945 in Newburgh New York to Louis and Hazel (Owens) Thompson. Mary was in retail sales and later went on to become a Pharmacy Technician. She and her husband relocated to Volusia County in 1995 from Wallkill NY. She enjoyed crocheting knitting gardening cooking and baking and taking long walks with her husband. Mary loved the beach the holidays with family and making her famous NY cheesecake. She will be remembered as a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years Eugene "Gene" Deyo Jr. Holly Hill FL her son Eugene "Gene" (Shana) Deyo III Ormond Beach FL daughter Virginia "Ginger" (Mark) Shaffer Deltona FL brother Gus Thompson Holly Hill FL sisters Jane McGrath Myrtle Beach S. Carolina and Anne Salisbury Jacksonville FL as well as three grandchildren Mark Allen Shaffer Jr. Andi Lynn Shaffer and Jace Taylor Deyo.
