Mary Jo Couls 97 of Deland passed away peacefully Sunday March 11 2012. A Celebration of Mary Jo's life will be held Monday March 26 at St Peter's Catholic Church DeLand Fl. Service will begin at 10am. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home DeLand.
Mary Jo was predeceased by her husband Bob. She is survived by her loving daughter Patricia Bryant dear son-in-law Chris Bryant and "Surrogate Son" David Fuller.
Mary Jo and Bob moved to the DeLand area in 1968 with the Circus Industry. Mary Jo was a secretary for several circuses including the King Brothers Circus. She was a proud member of the Circus Fan of America Association. The CFA honored the couple with the "Bob and Mary Jo Couls Commemorative Tent."
Mary Jo also enjoyed knitting crocheting and sewing. She loved plants and flowers. She was a member of St Peter's Catholic Church.
