Mary (Ginger) Virginia Cottell

1945 - 2021

Mary (Ginger) V. Cottell (nee. Mitchell) died peacefully at Halifax Hospice Care Center, on December 26, 2021 in Port Orange, FL at the age of 76.

Ginger was born in Alabama on June 13, 1945, she moved to Ohio where she raised her children than later returned to Alabama where she and her husband Bill owned a dry cleaning business. After Bills death and a few moves she eventually settled in Port Orange Fl.  Where she enjoyed the beach, she was a member of Faternal Order of Eagles, Daytona Beach Shores, but most of all she loved shopping and lunch with her best friend of more than 40 years Val.

Ginger is survived by her Daughter, Chelle Story of Port Orange, Fl. Son Mitchell Plunk (Lani) of Novelty, Oh. Granddaughter Ashley Rayne Swift (Dreu) of McKinny, Tx, Granddaughter Lani Mastrangelo (Carl) of Chesterland, Oh. Grandson Anthony Lupica (Michela) of Charles City, Va., and 5 Great Grandchildren, August, Darrell, Cole, Madison and Lillianna and her best friend Valerie Maresh, of Port Orange, Fl.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband William Cottell, her parents, Richard and Pauline Mitchell, her infant brother, and her ex husband and friend, Max Plunk.

A memorial and celebration of life is scheduled for 6 pm on Jan. 18, 2022, at the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave.  Port Orange Fl
