Mary Ellen Clowes, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on February 17,1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to Anna and Herbert Landon.

Mary was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Bobby Landon and Herbert Landon. She is survived by her loving sister, Ann Trank of Ormond Beach, FL; her children, Christine Clowes (Danny) of Port Orange, FL, Jimmy Clowes of Port Orange, FL, and Richard Clowes (Kelly) of Chicago, IL. Mary was the proud grandmother of three grandsons: Jimmy, Henrik, and Willem. She also leaves behind many cherished family members and friends.

Mary had a zest for life and a love for travel. Each trip was an adventure, she cherished the memories she made and the friendships she formed along the way. Mary's travel stories, recounted with enthusiasm and humor, were a source of joy for her family and friends. Her creative spirit was also evident in her hobbies which included painting. She was known for her vibrant spirit, her ability to light up any room, and her devotion to spending time with family and friends. She was truly the life of the party and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Mary's dedication to her family was unwavering. She was a constant source of support and encouragement, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took immense pride in all that they did. Mary's legacy of love and devotion will live on through her family, who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

As we remember Mary, we are reminded of the importance of living life to the fullest, embracing every moment, and cherishing the relationships that bring us joy. Services will be held on January 25, 2025, at Loman Funeral Home in Port Orange, FL, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Following the service, in honor of Mary's memory, her family invites you to join in celebrating the joy and love she brought to the world at the Elk Lodge at 5207 S. Ridgewood, Port Orange.

In lieu of flowers, Mary's family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation in Mary's name. Many cherished adventures with dear friends occurred in the Grand Tetons and it is a place that she held dear to her heart.
