Mary Katherine Plaza, affectionately known as Maria, Gram, and Maruska passed away peacefully after 88 wonderful years.

Mary's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating countless memories in Connecticut, Ohio and Florida - memories that will be shared and treasured for generations. Her generosity, warmth, and feisty spirit touched everyone who knew her, and her love will live on through those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Anthony Plaza, her granddaughter Melisa Hanck, and her son-in-law William Hoislbauer.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Doran (Roger) Baral, Diane Hoislbauer and Debra (Peter) Moore; sister, Joan Polzun of Canton, CT; niece, Kimberly (Jonathon) Turano, and family; grandchildren, Joe (Kayla) Baral, Rob (Celeste) Baral, Matt (Camren) Hanck, Stephanie (Greg) Tuttle, Sarrah Hoislbauer, Warren/Wojo, Rilee, and Ava Moore; nine great-grandchildren; and her long-time devoted friends, Carol Spano and Marion Bryns. All will proudly carry on her legacy.

Mary will also be deeply missed by her loyal dog, Sasha, who brought her comfort and companionship for many years.
