Obituary

Mary Starr Bogey-Paulo passed away on Saturday March 13 2010. She was born on January 14 1921 to Harold and Maude Starr in Bradford PA. She was a graduate of Bradford High School and Bradford Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1947 as an RN. On April 9 1949 she wed Stuart S.F. Bogey of Jamestown NY. She had two brothers Harold and Richard Starr both are now deceased. In August 1957 she and her husband moved to Port Orange FL where they operated a grocery store on Herbert Street for 25 years. She was active as a nurse in Bradford and Jamestown before going to FL. She was a choir director and soloist at the Port Orange First Methodist Church St. Andrews Methodist Church and Covenant United Methodist Church of Port Orange. In 1992 she married Manuel Paulo. Her first marriage lasted 42 years and to Mr. Paulo 7 years. She is survived by her son Richard and his wife Sharon of Winter Haven and daughter Jeanette and her husband Francis Lee Baker of Tampa FL. And 4 grandchildren Everand Baker Michael Baker Christopher Bogey and Kelly Bogey and numerous nieces and nephews in Chicago IL. She was also a licensed cosmetologist after her active nursing g career. She was a charter member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Port Orange. She was an avid reader and active in church loved music also an artist loved to crochet embroider cook and sew.
