Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Simmons, 98, of South Daytona, Florida passed away June 17, 2015. She was born in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on January 25, 1917. Mrs. Simmons moved to Daytona Beach at an early age with her parents. She was a women of great faith who loved God and her family, She had a great sense of humor and care for others.

She was married and preceded in death by her late husband, Howard H. Simmons. She was also preceded in death by one daughter Billie Jean Kennedy. She is survived by three children Muffett Murrell (Larry) of Jupiter, FL; Babe Sharpton of South Daytona, FL; RH (Hoppy) Simmons of Bunnell, FL; 2 adopted granddaughters, Danna Shedd and Cheryl Simmons; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service in her honor will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1 PM, at White Chapel Church, Ridgewood Ave, South Daytona, FL. Visitation is from 12:30 till 1 PM. Interment to follow service at Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave, Daytona Beach, FL.
