Mary Jane Bernard, 85, of Port Orange, passed away on July 13, 2021 at her residence in Port Orange.  She was born on December 21, 1935 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Shirl Merman and Maude (McNabb) Levy.  Mary Jane moved to this area in 1960 from her birthplace and worked for Judy Miller (whom she became lifelong friends with) as an Administrative Assistant for the Volusia County School Board from 1970 until 1998.  She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Brian) Pollock of Port Orange, FL;  son, Randy Bernard of Conshohocken, PA; two brothers, Bud Levy and Jim (Sue) Levy;  two grandchildren, Matthew (Kathy) Pollock and Joshua Pollock; and one great-grandson on the way, Theodore Anthony Pollock.

She was preceded in death in 2006 by her husband of 46 years whom she married in 1960, Robert T. Bernard and her sister, Libby Mack who passed away also on July 13, 2021,  just 9 hours before Mary Jane passed away.
