Funeral services for Mary Ann (Starkey) Brown 76 who died on Friday Dec. 23 2006 will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday Dec. 30 2006 in the Chapel of Baggett-Summers Funeral Home with Jennifer Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Daytona Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday Dec. 29th from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was born in Elyria Ohio in 1930 to the late Ira & Leora Starkey. She moved to Florida as a Senior in High School. She studied music at FSU before meeting and marrying John H. Brown. She and John settled in Daytona Beach where they raised their four children. She was a sales clerk for many years at McCrory's Five and Dime in DeLand and in Daytona Beach. Mary Ann was a choir director Sunday School teacher and also worked part time for Volusia County Schools. She attended Calvary Christian Fellowship. Survivors include her husband of 57 years John; 4 children Joy Carol Susan and Kiffin; 10 Grandchildren Michael & Forrest Doran Brandon & Chad Hageman Jennifer Woods Natalie Ethan Devan Jeremy and John Brown; great-granddaughter Brianna Doran.
