Marvin Allen Raulerson, 78, of DeLand, Florida passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025. He was born in Palatka, Florida on January 28, 1947, to William W. and Wannie (Roberts) Raulerson.
Marvin graduated from Cresent City High School, and joined the United States Navy, where he would serve for 4 years as a Petty Officer Second Class. When his Naval service was complete, he reenlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He would spend 18 years with the Army and the Florida National Guard and had the distinct honor in serving in the special forces and becoming a Green Beret.
After his military service, Marvin found several areas of work, from becoming a barber to law enforcement, and finally construction. Outside of work, he had many hobbies; he loved to hunt deer and turkeys - turkeys were his favorite to hunt, especially with his sons and grandkids, he enjoyed fresh and saltwater fishing (especially at the Flagler pier), vegetable gardening, and supporting his grandchildren in their various athletic and academic endeavors.
Marvin leaves behind his children, Jessica (Ritchie) Lilly, William (Jaime) Raulerson, and Aurelian "Danny" (Jennifer) Raulerson; his grandchildren, Travin Jones, Britnie Lilly, Hayes Lilly Grant Raulerson, Sophia Raulerson, and Christian Raulerson; and his six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Dalilia Raulerson; his parents, William W. and Wannie (Roberts) Raulerson; his great-grandson, Sebastian Jones; and his five siblings.
Pallbearers for Marvin will be: William Raulerson, Grant Raulerson, Aurelian Raulerson, Ritchie Lilly, Hayes Lilly, Franklin Jones, and honorary pallbearer, Sophia Raulerson.
A funeral service for Marvin will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of DeLeon Springs, located at 4995 Central Avenue, De Leon Springs, Florida 32130. Interment will follow at Seville Cemetery.
