Funeral service for Martin J Severson 87 of Samsula will be held Wednesday at 10 am graveside in Daytona Memorial Park. His family will receive friends in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home on Tuesday from 500pm till 700 pm. Martin was a lifelong resident of the Daytona Beach area. He was a Master Electrician and a proud member of IBEW #756 for over 55 years. He was also a lifetime member of VFW # 1590 and the Lighted Knots Hunting Club. Martin was an Army veteran of both WW II and Korea who enjoyed fishing hunting and NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years Shirley 2 sons; Archie of Holly Hill Carlton and his wife Kathy of Geneva FL. 3 daughters; Linda Evans and her husband Edwin of Geneva FL. Annette Wiggins and her husband Marshall of Samsula and Donna Walsh and her husband Dan also of Samsula. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and his best friend "Sassy". Martin was preceded in death by his daughter Cindy.
