Martha Karen Woodruff, of Deltona, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born in Panama City, Florida, Karen moved with her family to Staten Island, New York, when she was very young. Later, the family relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she spent her childhood and formative years.

In the mid-1960s, Karen met the love of her life, Charles K. Woodruff. Their relationship blossomed into a lifelong partnership, and they were united in marriage on Valentine's Day in 1978. Together, they shared 48 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Karen dedicated many years of service to Publix, where she worked in the deli department for 17 years before retiring in 2009. She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Deltona and enjoyed the friendships and fellowship she found there.

Known for her fun-loving spirit, Karen had a gift for bringing joy to those around her. She loved collecting teddy bears, admired beautiful flowers, and found great happiness in life's simple pleasures. Above all, she adored her beloved dog, Chilly, who held a special place in her heart.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Nels Berg and Alita Bonita Larsen; her daughter, Jennifer Hentzell, in 2008; and her brothers, Michael Larsen, Paul Larsen, George Larsen, and Harry Larsen. She is also remembered by her sister-in-law, Patsy Larsen, Harry's surviving wife, who resides in North Carolina.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory, including her devoted husband, Charles Woodruff; son, Kevin (Kristie) Hentzell of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Carrie Ekdahl of DeLand; sisters, Bonita (Barry) Hale of Tennessee, Diane Speir of Deltona, Linda Mulhern of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Debbie (Joe) Cuccia of Deltona; brothers, Gary Larsen of Virginia and John (Sandy) Larsen of Deltona; grandchildren, Jaide (Jeff) Robbins, Coral Hentzell, Zack and Coty; her treasured great-granddaughter, Addie; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Karen's warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
