Martha Mersek 90 of Ormond Beach Fl passed away peacefully at Signature Health Care on September 10 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 13th from 3-7 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 W. Granada Blvd. The Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated on Friday September 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 600 Nova Road Ormond Beach.

Born October 25 1921 in Cleveland Ohio and relocated to Ormond Beach in 1987. Martha was a retired executive secretary to the principal at Beachwood High School; she obtained her Bachelor's in Education Degree from Cleveland State University formerly Fenn College where she was awarded the freshman of the Year. She was a parishioner at Prince of Peace Catholic Church an avid duplicate bridge player along with her husband. Martha was the Recording Secretary and Treasurer with the Tomoka Duplicate Bridge Club she enjoyed worldwide traveling and in her younger years was a competitive roller skate dancer and basketball player. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Leo Mersek Ormond Beach son Lee (Linda) Mersek Highland Heights Ohio and three grandchildren Lee John (Sara) and Katherine. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Martha Snatko and a son Steven Mersek. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
