Martha M. Cronin age 86 of Seabreeze Boulevard Daytona Beach Florida died on October 2 2003 from cancer at the Golden Abbey Assisted Living Facility in Port Orange. She was a long-time resident of Daytona Beach having moved here from Westbury Long Island New York in 1975. Her three great loves were her family reading and traveling.

Mrs. Cronin was predeceased by her first husband Arthur F. Keating Sr. who died in 1961 and she is survived by their children Colonel Skip Keating Ormond Beach; Peter Keating Gail Daytona Beach; Mary Ellen Bighi Lorenzo Freeport New York; Gerard F. Keating Sue Daytona Beach; and Christopher P. Keating Daytona Beach.

She was also predeceased in 1987 by her second husband John Cronin and she is survived by his children Annette Kopp Ron Merrick New York; John Cronin Irene Franklin Square New York; and Friar Father Kevin Cronin O.F.M. of Ho-Ho-Kus New Jersey all of whom she considered as her own children. Her family also includes 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cronin was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women Daytona Beach the Red Cross and was a school volunteer at St. Paul?s Catholic and Bonner Elementary schools. She was also employed as an assistant underwriter for St. Paul?s Insurance Company Woodbury New York and employed by Daytona Employment.

While living in New York she was affiliated with the Supreme Council Lady?s Society the American Cancer Society and the Columbrette Council 1012.

In Florida she served two years each at Peninsula Hospital-Ormond Beach Memorial Hospital-Ormond Beach and Volusia County Library at City Island.

Funeral Arrangements are under the careful direction of Ormond Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Boulevard Ormond Beach FL 32174. The viewing will be at the funeral home on Monday October 6th and Tuesday October 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm each day with a funeral mass on October 8th at 9:00 am Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 201 University Boulevard Daytona Beach.
