Martha Lorene Burns age 92 or Palm Coast formerly of Daytona Beach went to her heavenly home on Wednesday May 19 2010. A 12:00 viewing followed by a 12:30 funeral service in her honor will be held Monday May 24 2010 at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home followed by an interment at Daytona Memorial Park. Lorene was born in Franklin Co. Alabama to James and Kattie Tubbs she dedicated her life to taking care of others. She was a proper statues classy beauty that never shared a cross word with anyone her endless joy and "Southern Bell" personality shown though to everyone around her. She was a proud member of the Church of Christ Beville Road who loved music gardening dancing and French fries. Her 7 sibling and her first husband preceded her in death and she leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 22 years; William "Billy" Burns a brother James (Cassandra) Tubbs 2 sisters; Margie Martin and Laverne (Thomas) Allen a sister-in-law: Ilene Tubbs 7 stepsons a step daughter 16 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and her dear friend and caregiver; Pattiann Walters.
