Martha Ruddy Baer age 97, of Port Orange passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 15, 1920, daughter of the late George and Martha (Moorehead ) Ruddy. She was raised and educated in New Jersey where she attended and completed nursing school. She moved with her daughter Honey (Elaine) to Pennsylvania in 1995. Martha, Honey and Elaine relocated to Florida in 2005 where they built a home in Port Orange. She enjoyed her golden years in Florida and became a resident of Magnolia Manor in 2007. Family, friends, cooking and reading were among her greatest past-times. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Kyoko) of Japan and William (Sue) of Georgia, two daughters, Martha "Honey" Baer of Florida and Patricia Baer Orth (Walter) of California, a sister Patricia Crook of Virginia and a sister-in-law Mary Ruddy of Virginia. She also has seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her former husband Dr. Irving Baer, a son George "Teddy" Baer, a daughter Elizabeth Ann Baer Eisenhouer, three brothers, George, Robert and Harold Ruddy, one sister Mary Ruddy Markovich and also a very special friend Elaine Pitzalis.
