Marshall H. Barkin 72 of Daytona Beach passed away on August 13 2010. Marshall was born in Atlanta GA on June 18 1938 to the late Mr. Jake and Mrs. Sophie (Maziar) Barkin.
Marshall graduated from Grady High School and continued his studies in Atlanta earning both undergraduate and law degrees at Emory University. He then completed a Masters of Law in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Marshall was a sole practitioner in Daytona Beach and involved in numerous professional organizations earning accolades for his work in taxation and estate planning.
Since moving to Daytona Beach more than 40 years ago Marshall has been active in many community organizations culminating with his recent graduation from the City of Daytona Beach Citizens Academy. He enjoyed traveling basketball reading art shows and spending time with his family. Marshall possessed a true love of learning and a relentless sense of humor.
Marshall will be greatly missed and always remembered by those he loved. Survivors include his beloved wife of 16 years Michele Barkin of Daytona Beach; son Jeff (Heather) Barkin of Orlando; daughters Julie (Eric) Carlyle of Atlanta Jennifer (Rick) Pollak of Daytona Beach and Suzy Muscari of Orlando; grandchildren Noah Carlyle Olivia Pollak and Isabella and Addison Barkin. Marshall also leaves behind brother Steve (Wendy) Barkin of Columbia MD and many extended family members and friends.
