Marlene Dorothy Page, born September 18, 1941 in Detroit Michigan, On April 4 ^th She would of celebrated 54 Years of Wedded Bliss with her loving husband Walter . They met at a local Drug Store named (Jack's Drugs) in Dearborn Michigan, in 1963. Marlene owned a cleaning company with 3 employees, cleaning new homes. Marlene and Walter left Michigan after Walter retired in 1994, moving to Daytona Beach. Knowing Marlene had to find something to do; Marlene served her country as a proud uniformed member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary until her passing. Enrolling in 1998 with her husband Walt, she was assigned to Flotilla 44 Daytona Beach; Marlene soon qualified as a patrol boat crew member, doing search and rescue patrols and space shuttle security patrols. Immediately after 9/11, Marlene volunteered to assist the Coast Guard with security patrols in the Daytona Beach metro area. To help educate current and prospective boaters, Marlene qualified as an instructor, vessel examiner, marine dealer visitor, and aid to navigation verifier. After extensive training, Marlene qualified in a new Coast Guard program she considered her passion: Food Services Specialist (previously known as the Auxiliary Chef program). At last count, she had volunteered nine hundred five hours of operational support cooking at Coast Guard Station Ponce de Leon Inlet for active duty and reserve personnel. Marlene went on to become commander of Flotilla 44 Daytona Beach, and eventually vice division commander of Division 4, East Central Florida

Marlene earned many awards, some of which include: The Auxiliary Meritorious Service Medal; Auxiliary Achievement Medal; Auxiliary Sustained Service Award (10 awards); Transportation 9/11 Ribbon; Special Operations Service Ribbon; and, the Auxiliary Membership Service Award (3 awards). Her unit awards include the : Coast Guard Presidential Unit Citation; Coast Guard Unit Commendation; Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation and the Coast Guard Auxiliary Operational Excellence "E" Ribbon. In December. 2016 at Flotilla 44's seventy-fifth anniversary dinner and change of watch, Marlene received the President's Volunteer Service Award-Bronze Medal for her volunteer hours in service to the United States of America.

Shortly after, not having enough to do, HA, HA, She started to work as a demonstrator with Publix and Target for 17 years. One of her favorite past times was going on a cruise with her husband. Marlene had a brother Stan, brother Jerry, and sister Evelyn. She had an open heart to family and friends and was well liked by everyone, and will be missed dearly. May she rest in peace!
