Funeral Services for Mr. Mark Charles Townley age 45 of Ormond Beach who died Saturday May 7 2005 in Daytona Beach will be Saturday May 14th at 11:00am in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond with Rev. James Raley as the officiant. His family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Friday May 13th in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
Mr. Townley was born July 20 1959 in Manchester England to Wilf and Jean Townley and moved to this area from Manchester in 1993. Mark was a police officer in Manchester England for 17 years where he wrote the curriculum and was an instructor for the police cadets. Mark was a telecommunicator for the DeLand police dept. for 7 years and was most recently the telecommunications supervisor for the Volusia County Sheriffs Dept. He was a member of the Calvary Christian Center and numerous cycling clubs and organizations. Mark enjoyed cycling woodworking and model airplanes.
He is survived by his loving wife Holly; 2 sons: Adam of Okinawa Japan and Marik of Virginia Beach VA; a daughter; Gaia of South Carolina; His mother; Jean Townley of Manchester England and a sister Kathryn Sweeney of Manchester England.
