Mark W. Osmun died peacefully at his home in DeLand, Florida on the afternoon of December 2, 2013 of sudden heart failure age 61.
Born into a military family on May 28, 1952, Mark enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1970. He served 22 years active duty before retiring in 1992 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Mark retired from a career in the United States Postal Service in 2010 before moving from Rockford, Illinois to DeLand, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Rena; his parents William and Velma; sister Debby Wade; daughter and son-in-law Amber and Jeremy Patterson; grandson Luke; and his son, Joshua.
His passing will be marked by a celebration of his life held at DeLeon Springs State Park in DeLeon Springs, Florida on the morning of Thursday, December 12 at 10 am.
