Mark Stephen O'Malley left this earth on the morning of May 17th 2010. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday May 21 2010 at St. Brendan Catholic Church 1000 Ocean Shore Boulevard
Ormond Beach beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Mark was born in Syracuse New York on December 14 1955 and moved to Ormond Beach in 1961. He attended St. Brendan's School and graduated from Father Lopez High School with the class of 1974. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tampa. He was currently employed by Flagler County Abstract Company.
Mark's life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Anyone associated with him knew that he was a kind gentle and caring man.
Mark coached youth baseball and basketball in Ormond Beach for over 15 years. He always made every child he coached feel equal no matter the skill level. Playing time for each child was always more important than winning or losing.
He was an avid sports fan enjoying NASCAR racing baseball Florida Gator football and his beloved Syracuse University Basketball. A constant supporter of his son niece and nephew he proudly attended all their school and sporting events throughout the years.
He is survived by his wife Renee'; son Kyle O'Malley; brother Pat O'Malley (Robin); sister Marylyn O'Malley; niece Jennifer O'Malley; nephew Patrick O'Malley; and constant companion Paws his dog.
He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him.
