Mark Dollard Blais passed away on September 24th., at Advent Hospital in Daytona Beach. He was born on December 16th., 1949 in Daytona Beach to Frances Shiver Blais and Dollard Blais.
He is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julie Blais, his daughters Shelly Olsen (Eric), and Christa Blais, his grandchildren Collin, Sydney, and Braden Olsen, and a great granddaughter, Preslie. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Robert Blais, Delray Beach, sister Kathy Blais Foster, and brother A.D. Blais, Daytona Beach, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mark grew up in Adel, GA and spent his summers in Daytona. He graduated from Seabreeze High School, Class of '68, and attended Augusta College (GA). He completed his Master Plumbers Apprenticeship Program while working in his family business, A. Dollard Blais Contracting, as a third-generation plumber. He later owned Florida Production Piping, Inc., as a plumbing contractor. He then developed his own Domestic Water Booster Pump System, which transformed the booster pump industry, and started Delta P Systems Inc, manufacturing new systems, and servicing existing systems up and down the coast of FL. Upon his retirement, the company was purchased by Carver Pump, and is now Delta P Carver.
He loved boating and enjoyed diving and spearfishing for many years. He also enjoyed watching football and golf and could always be found designing and working on projects in his garage. He always loved time spent with his family! He was a member of Tomoka Christian Church.
His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 8th., at 11am with Visitation Friday, October 7th. From 5-7 pm all in the Chapel at Lohman Funeral Home ORMOND, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, or Diabetes Research Institute Foundation.
