Marjorie H. Zale age 88 of Port Orange passed away peacefully on Friday November 2 2012. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday November 6 2012 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona between the hours of 6:00 P.M and 8:00 P.M. A Prayer service will begin in the Chapel of the Funeral Home at 7:30 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday November 7 2012 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marjorie was born on October 17 1924 in Utica New York and was the only daughter of the late William and Agnes Worsley. She attended Syracuse University and the University of Villanova receiving Master Degree in English and Library Science. Marjorie worked for the Public School System in Pennsylvania. She was the school Librarian at Stetson Middle School for many years.
Marjorie was a devoted wife loving mother grandmother and great grandmother. She also enjoyed time spent socializing with her many friends. She loved arts and crafts reading and music. In 1986 she and her late husband Matthew Zale moved to Florida after their retirement.
Majorie is survived by her beloved son William "Bill" (Fiance Cathy Heveron) Zale grandchildren; Alethia (Fiance Eric) Zale William Zale Jr. Matthew (Melissa) Zale great grandchildren; Alex Janey and Audriana Zale. She also leaves behind sister in law Jean Glod and dear friend Bob Lynn Thomas. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Daytona.
