Marjorie Ruth Love, 86, of Okeechobee, FL passed away May 7, 2017 in Bunnell, FL. Ruth has joined her beloved husband, James Robert Love, at the Gates of Heaven. She met her future husband when they were classmates at Berea College, Berea, KY. Married in 1950, the Lord blessed Rob and Ruth with 62 years of marriage.

Ruth was born December 5, 1930 in Clay City, KY to the late Weeda and Weeden Tipton.

Ruth worked at Westinghouse before devoting herself to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was passionate about gardening, painting, sewing and baking which to her family's delight, resulted in beautiful flower gardens, southern charm landscapes, creative quilts, and delicious morsels of joy!

Ruth was a longtime resident of Miami Lakes, FL then relocated to Danville, KY and then came to Okeechobee in 2001.

Mrs. Love is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, John Tipton and William Mize II. She is survived by two sons, James Kenneth Love (Dianne) of Okeechobee and Keith Robert Love of Palmetto Bay, FL; daughter, Sandra Ruth Cunningham (Craig) of Flagler Beach; brothers Wayne Tipton and Robert Mize; sisters. Dorothy Stone and Wilma Willoughby; seven grandchildren, Dawn, Jennifer M., Matthew, Russell, Kristina, Jennifer H., and Maggie; and five great grandchildren, DJ, Sarah, Annie, Adrienne, and Summer.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 13 beginning with visitation at 11:30 am followed by service at 12:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home, 733 W. Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, FL. 32174, with Chaplin Bill Allen officiating. A luncheon will follow at 2:00 at the home of Sandra and Craig Cunningham. Interment will be Monday, May 15, 2017, at 12:45 pm, at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Rd 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449
