Marjorie L. Meiritz 84 of Holly Hill passed away December 19 2010 at Bishops Glen. She was born in DeLand on September 7 1926 to the late Paul W. and Helen Haven Meiritz. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday December 23 at the Baggett & Summers Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time and interment will take place in Oakland Cemetery in DeLand. Marjorie was employed by the City of Daytona Beach for 49 years until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed fishing and spending time at her cabin on the river. Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory her sister-in-law Geraldine Meiritz; nieces Mary Anne Coleman of Athens GA Kathy Lunduski and Eileen Currin; nephew Joseph (Kathleen) Coleman of Elmira NY and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul. The family would like to thank the staff of Visiting Angels Bishops Glen and Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler for the compassionate care they each gave to Marjorie over the past few years with a special thank you to Marion Matthews for her time spent with Marjorie.
