A prayer service will be held for Marjorie D. Homa (nee Van Horn) on September 2, 2022 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona, located at 1423 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach, Florida.

Marjorie, also known as Marge, of Holly Hill, Florida, passed away on August 28, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born on January 29, 1934 to Amos and Helen Van Horn of Belvidere, New Jersey. Prior to moving to Holly Hill in 1978, Marjorie lived in Pohatcong Township, New Jersey. She held a variety of jobs throughout her life, but the last was as a switchboard operator at then Daytona Beach Community College. She was a devout and dedicated member of Holy Cross Eastern Orthodox Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Homa Arther, of St. Augustine, Florida; her grandson, Steven N. Arther, of Holly Hill, Florida; and her granddaughter, Julie B. Arther and husband, Dustin A. Jackson, of San Diego, California. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Homa, her parents, her sister, Marion Moorer; and her brothers, Albert Van Horn and George Van Horn.

She will be missed and will be remembered fondly by many as a kind person.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Lohman Funeral Home Daytona Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM, with the burial after the service at Daytona Memorial Park.
