Obituary

A Memorial Service for Marjorie ?Chris? Bowman age 65 of South Daytona will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday January 12 2005 in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Frederick W. Schultz officiating.

Chris was born in Sharon CT on November 7 1939 to Peter and Marjorie Nielsen. She moved to the Halifax area as a child and was a graduate of Mainland High School Class of 1957; for which Chris served on the Class Reunion Committee. After graduating Chris worked locally for the Coca-Cola Company until the late 1980?s and then for Dr. Dhand in Ormond Beach until retiring about 3 years ago.

Chris enjoyed traveling and having dinner with her friends the ABC Girls who would go out together every two weeks. Chris was a devoted family matron who greatly looked forward to spending time with and preparing for the holidays with her family.

Chris passed away on January 9 2005 at Halifax Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Manchester.Left to cherish her memories are her children Cindy Williams of Deltona and Doug Wolfe of Port Orange; brother George Merers of Richmond Hill NY; sister Jensine Wittenberg of Ormond Beach; 5 grandchildren Stephen April J.D. Phillip and Abby; and a great-grandson Brandon.
