Marjorie Kathleen Alfasi 95 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on Monday June 14 2010. Family will receive friends on Thursday June 17th at Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach FL (386) 673-1100 between the hours of 11-1 pm. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lourdes Catholic Church 201 University Blvd. Daytona Beach.

Marjorie was born July 28 1914 to William and Ada (Dennis) Mortimer in Cheltenham England. She was a retired school teacher a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; she was involved in various ladies organizations was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. She arrived in Long Island New York in 1968 from England to marry her second husband John Alfasi. After losing her husband she moved to Daytona Beach FL in 1997 to be near her daughter.

Marjorie is survived by her son Brian Steeples of Nottingham England daughters Rhona Alfasi Ormond Beach Olive Mee Long Island NY step-son John Alfasi and his wife Joan Spotsylvania VA step-daughter Judy Wolfe and her husband Kurt Long Island NY fifteen grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter Millie. She was preceded in death by her first husband James Steeples and her 2nd John Alfasi as well as by a son Ray Steeples a step-daughter Barbara Price and a great-nephew Trevor Steeples. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Florida Hospital Hospice Care 264 S. Atlantic Ave. Ormond Beach FL 32176.
