Marion "Mitzi" Solomon 84 of Daytona Beach FL passed away peacefully at Bishops Glenn Retirement Center Holly Hill FL on Tuesday September 27 2011. Funeral services will be held on Sunday; October 2nd at 10:30 am at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach with the family receiving friends at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery Daytona Beach.

Mitzi was born September 15 1927 in Brooklyn NY to Leon and Minnie (Berman) Gayer. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson HS in Brooklyn NY. She then relocated to Volusia County in 1979 with her husband Harold from Long Island NY. She was the former owner of Speedway Press in Daytona Beach. She enjoyed cooking baking sewing knitting playing cards old movies and will be fondly remembered as the "Queen of QVC". Mitzi greatest love was her family spending time with her husband children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Craig (Pam) Solomon Port Orange Evan (Carrie) Solomon Daytona Beach and Steven (Suni) Solomon Dallas TX three grandchildren Lauren Mary Catherine and David as well as several nieces nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Harold her son Paul and two sisters Irene Tabb and Ruth Solomon.
