Obituary

Marion T. Clark died at the age of 100 on March 10, 2021 at her home in Market Street Residence in Palm Coast. Marion was born January 20, 1921 in Hackensack, New Jersey, the daughter of Augustus and Marion (Henderson) Terhune, the second of five children.

Everyone who knew Marion was in awe of her beautiful piano playing, a skill she had all her life. She delighted in playing "Happy Birthday" to the residents at Market Street, but her family remembers the classical music she played as a younger person. "Moonlight Sonata" was one of her favorites. Tricky musical compositions challenged her and she was delighted when she mastered each one.

Gardening was also a passion for Marion. She loved to show off her tomato plants and walk her friends and family through her huge vegetable and flower gardens in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina where she spent most of her life. She moved to Palm Coast in 2016 with her husband Louis Alfano.

Marion worked as a paralegal and as an executive secretary for the legal department of Wyeth Labs.

She is survived by her four children Gregg (Carmine) Denniston, Cheryl (Joe) Dresnok, Jim Clark, Cathy (Glenn) Smith, her brother Ken (Maria) Terhune, ten grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of her Life will be held in May in North Carolina to honor the long life of a very special person.
