Funeral Services for Marilyn J. Young (nee Neiding) age 83 of Daytona Beach will be held at 10:30 am Thursday June 14 2007 at the Port Orange Chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes with Reverend Roy Hoch officiating. The family will also receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday June 13 2007 at the chapel. Interment will follow the service at Daytona Memorial Park. Marilyn passed into God's heavenly kingdom on the morning of June 10 2007 in the care of her sons Mark and Joel in Daytona Beach Florida following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 1 1924 to the late Carl and Elizabeth (Fedderson) Neiding in Sandusky Ohio. The wife of the late William C. Young (who passed on July 1 1975) Marilyn and Bill made their home in several locations over the 28 years they were together: Sandusky; Joliet Illinois; Sydney River Nova Scotia and Daytona Beach. Marilyn received her nursing degree from Providence Hospital in Sandusky. In addition to being a loving housewife and mother she served as a teacher's aide for special needs children at Hillcrest and Palm Terrace Schools in Daytona for 17 years. Teaching was one of the joys of Marilyn's life and her love for her students kept her an active vital member of the community. She also loved reading sewing cooking crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Marilyn leaves to cherish her memory her loving children; sons Mark Young of South Daytona and Joel Young of Gainesville FL; daughter Cindy Bramscher of Naperville Illinois; grandsons Billy Young and Andy Bramscher; granddaughter Erin Bramscher; great grandson Jacob; sister Mary Jane Hoch; sister-in-law Marian Mock; daughter-in-law Donna (Feagle) Young; son-in-law Tom Bramscher and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made in honor of Marilyn to: Hospice of Volusia/Flagler or to Salvation Army. Though we mourn her passing we also celebrate 83 years of God's goodness to our dear loved one.
