Marilyn Gertrude Butera, our beautiful mother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in Palm Coast, Florida.  Marilyn, born in the Bronx, New York on June 17, 1935 (Marilyn Zaccor), was a strong and independent woman who lived her life filled with love, laughter and grace.  She always put her family first and showed her love for all with her generous heart, amazing meals, and her beautiful smile.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Vicki Gold and Penny Jones; son-in-law, Geoffrey Gold; grandsons, Nathan and Jason Gold (Who were both a light in her life!); sister, Pat Pawlyshyn and other extended family members.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Salvatore Butera; brother, Albert Zaccor; and brother-in-law, Tom Pawlyshyn.

Marilyn always lived her life with her wonderful spirit.  Even as she endured the wrath of Alzheimer's, but her charm, grace, smile, and no nonsense attitude still shined through; mom was loved by all.

The family will be holding a private celebration of her life on Cape Cod, a place that she and Dad loved.  As a form of remembrance or condolences please think about volunteering or donating to Cure Alzheimer's Fund, (curealz.org) or Alzheimer's Association, (alz.org) in Marilyn's memory.
