Marielena A. Digiacomo

December 27, 1941 - October 24, 2021

Marielena A. DiGiacomo, 79, of Port Orange, FL, has gone to be with the Lord, October 24, 2021 following a short illness. Marielena was born on December 27, 1941 in Wilmington, DE, the daughter of the late Alfonse and Mary Ciaffi. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony DiGiacomo Jr and devoted mother to Anthony "Butchie" DiGiacomo (deceased) and Danielle Conley (deceased). Marielena was a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren, English (deceased), Anthony, Vincent, Kaitlyn, and Trina. She leaves behind a loving daughter-in-law, four beloved great grandchildren, a dear aunt, loving nieces and nephew and many very dear friends.
Marielena loved to laugh. She loved to make people laugh. She gave of her heart everywhere she went. Professionally, she worked as a medical receptionist, but her true passion was volunteerism. In her early years, she gave much time to her church, St. Anthony of Padua, Wilmington, DE, alongside her grandmother and mother. In her later years, Marielena found great purpose and joy in volunteering with organizations like, Clothes to You, Halifax Hospital and Think Pink. The positive impact she had on those around her was great. The void she leaves behind in the hearts of those who knew and loved her is also great. She will be forever in our hearts
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 starting with a 5pm greeting and 6:30pm Catholic Mass at the Basilica of St. Paul, 317 Mullally Street, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Contact Loman's Funeral Home for more information, 386-267-1100. In Lieu of flowers, we suggest donations be made to St. Jude's Children's hospital. There will also be a memorial service in Wilmington, Delaware at a later date.
