Marian Gertrude Petersen 95 of Daytona Beach passed away on Saturday July 19 2008. A Celebration of Life will be held at Unity Church of Daytona Beach 908 Ridgewood Ave Holly Hill on Wednesday July 23rd at 200 pm. Marian was born in Lovington Illinois on February 18 1913 to Walter and Lula Walmsley. She came to this area in 1973 from Toledo Ohio. Marian is the former owner of her own ceramic studio were she gave lessons in ceramics. She was an accomplished musician and loved playing the piano and organ for her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Harold F. Petersen and her 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include her son and daughter in law Keith and Carolyn Petersen of Port Orange and her daughter Karen Petersen of Perrysburg Ohio. Also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Marian's memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32127.
