A Graveside Service for our dear friend Marguerite Wimbish 92 of South Daytona who passed away Tuesday May 20 will be held at 2:30 pm Friday May 23 2008 at Daytona Memorial Park. Marguerite was born on January 1 1916 in Atlanta Georgia and graduated from Commercial High School. At the young age of 14 she began working during the summer months at AECO (Atlanta Envelope Company). At age 18 she began working full time and remained a faithful employee operating open-ended folding machines for 38 years until her retirement. This city girl married a country boy on October 9 1937 and loved music (her favorite being Lawrence Welk) bingo traveling dancing and spending time at the beach. She and her loving husband of 69 years Harol who passed away in 2006 vacationed in Daytona for many years prior to moving here in 1973. Marguerite leaves to cherish her memory many dear friends in Florida and Georgia. In honor of Marguerite who was a pet lover in lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Halifax Humane Society or Flagler Humane Society or to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange FL 32129 for the wonderful care they gave to her.
