Obituary

Margaret Ann 'Tracy' Schneider left this earthly realm on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 9:46pm. Her children were by her side as she took her last breath. Margaret was at peace and ready for her next journey in the afterlife.

Margaret was born September 15, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Mildred Eunice (nee Hooper) and Albert Sidney Williams. She is survived by her sister; Patricia Williams, children; Kimberly and Michael, and granddaughters; Sydney, Samantha and Emelyn.

Tracy, as she was known to many, moved often during her younger years with her father serving in the US Air Force, and held a BA in Education from Southern Illinois University. She started her teaching career in Michigan while her husband, Jim, was stationed there with the Air Force; was a successful Realtor in business with her aunt, Margaret Whatley, in LaBelle, Florida; owned businesses with her partner of 33 years, Judy Cox; and found the joy of teaching again at Deltona Middle School before she retired in 2009. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, hosting parties for family and friends, meeting new friends (she never met a stranger!), painting, finding her spiritual frequencies by humming, chanting and using her drums, AND never lost the thirst for knowledge! Once a teacher, always a teacher!

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Lohman Funeral Home, 1681 Providence Blvd, Deltona, 32725. Visitation will start at 10:30am and services will begin at 11:30am. A reception will be held following the memorial at Kings Lake Clubhouse, 369 Kings Lake Drive, DeBary, 32713, until 3pm. The family would be honored to have her friends spend some time and share their best, funniest, most embarrassing or special memories they have of Tracy. She touched the lives of so many people along her journey .... let's toast her together!!

Tracy was a mentor with the program Take Stock in Children, a cancer survivor, an animal (and bugs & snakes!) lover, and a member of the VFW and the American Legion … just a few passions in her life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in Margaret 'Tracy' Schneider's honor to takestockinchildren.org/donate/ or something that is a passion in your life!
