Margaret "May" McCarthy age 90 of Port Orange passed away Sunday February 7 2010. A Thursday February 11 visitation will be held 9:00 - 11:00 at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home followed by a 12:00 Mass of Christian burial at Epiphany Catholic Church 201 Lafayette St. Port Orange interment will be at Daytona Memorial Park.
Margaret was one of 11 children born to Martin and Margaret Browne in Clonina Cree County Clare Ireland. She moved to the USA in 1948 and Married Joseph McCarthy on Feb 27 1954. He predeceased her in death on October 4 1997. She was a loving mother and will be sadly missed by her four children; Marian Foran and her husband Tom Milford PA Bernadette Bonanno of Port Orange Thomas McCarthy of Daytona Beach and Margaret McCarthy of Port Orange 7 grandchildren; Erin Elchenko Colleen Foran Carly Stasa Katie Foran Ryan Bonanno Shannon and Thomas McCarthy 5 great grandchildren; Brenna Braden Shaelyn May Elchenko Jacob Stasa and Kaden Bonanno 3 sisters 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews. Margaret will be remembered as beautiful loving and generous.
