Obituary

Margaret "Peggy" Masica 89 passed away Monday February 21 2011 at Ormond in the Pines Care Center Ormond Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday March 4 2011 at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Peggy was born June 25 1921 in Norfolk Va. to Palmer and Margaret Ingram. She moved to Volusia County in 1965 from Pa. She was a member of Ormond Beach Union Church attended Art School and enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. She volunteered for many organizations and loved traveling. She and her husband Gene enjoyed eleven world cruises. Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Lt. Commander James S. Kennedy USN retired and her brother Robert P. Ingram Jr. She is survived by her husband of 20 years Capt. Eugene "Gene" Masica USN retired by her son Commander John Michael Masica USN retired and his wife Denise Pebble Beach Ca. and by her daughter Dr. Catherine Ann Masica Maley and her husband Patrick of Denver Co. by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well her prized toy poodle "Princess". Memorial contributions may be made to Florida Hospital Hospice Care 770 W. Granada Blvd. Suite 319 Ormond Beach Fl. 32174 or the Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society; 875 N.
