Margaret A. Koenig of Ormond Beach, FL passed away peacefully late Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Halifax Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach after a long illness. She was 91 years old.   Mrs. Koenig was born on January 5, 1927 in College Point, Queens, NY to the late Kurt and Marie Alma (Schreiber) Voigt.  She also had lived in River Vale, NJ for many years prior to moving to Ormond Beach, FL 1989. Mrs. Koenig was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Holly Hill.  She had been a member of the Auxiliary of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).  She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting (especially lap blankets for hospitalized veterans), bowling, traveling, and being with family and friends. Margaret (also known lovingly as Tante Gretchen) is survived by her Brother-in-law Herbert G. Koenig & his wife Rosemarie, Nephews Walter H. Koenig & his wife M. Johanna, and Herbert K. Koenig & his wife Anne, Grand-niece Christine J. Webber & her husband Daniel, Grand-nephews John W. Koenig, Alexander Koenig, Thomas Koenig, and William J. Koenig Jr, and Great-Grand-nephew Theodore W. Webber.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gustav in 1993 and her nephew William G. Koenig in 2008. Margaret will be laid to rest by a graveside service at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.  Service date is pending.
