Kerr, Margaret E. of DeLand Florida passed away Saturday April 14, 2018 at her home in DeLand, FL. Margaret was born in Effingham, Florence Co. SC on June 20, 1924. She moved to this area in 1981 from South Florida. Her last career was in Banking. Previously she had been the first female assistant store manager for the Department Store Jackson's Byrons. She was world traveled in the 1960s through the 1980s. She traveled with her husband Harold extensively through the USA, South America and Europe. She even went behind the Iron Curtain in the 1970s. In October of 2015 she traveled to Ireland and Scotland on a heritage trip with six of her beloved family which including her spanned four generations. She was also a member of the Deland Garden Club and attended events held by them.  Among her other activities were outings with a lovely group of women each month called the Divas. She also maintained special friendships with the ladies of her Bunco groups for over 20 plus years.  Margaret was much loved by her large close family and her home was the gathering place for countless family celebrations. She is survived by her son Harold W. Kerr, Jr. of Eustis, FL daughter Martha Sue (Kerr) Brannon of DeLand, FL and son William David Kerr, granddaughter Kimberly (Brannon) Bednash, grandsons Kevin M. Kerr, Gregory D. Brannon, Kenneth R. Kerr, granddaughter Elizabeth M. Kerr Sims and grandson Christopher Kerr.  Additionally Margaret is survived by seven great granddaughters Savannah Bednash, Alexa Bednash, Morgan Brannon, Ashlyn Kerr, Evelyn Sims, Lydia Sims and Lily Kerr.  Visitation for Margaret will be on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8: p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home DeLand FL. Funeral Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of DeLand FL on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  Final resting place will be at the DeLand Memorial Gardens.  Donations can be made to Halifax Hospice of Volusia Co.
