Mark Iwanski 73 of Ormond Beach FL passed away peacefully in his home July 24 2012 after a yearlong battle with renal cancer. Born July 22 1939 in Stary Sacz Poland Mark and his wife of 43 years Jane escaped communist Poland. They traveled from Italy to France before finally achieving their dream of immigrating to America. In 1970 Mark began working with DANA Corporation in Toledo OH and in 1982 transferred to their new plant in Jonesboro AR. He retired after more than 33 years with DANA Co. He and Jane then moved to Ormond Beach Fl where he spent his time remodeling homes landscaping and gardening some of his biggest joys.
Mark is survived by his wife Jane Iwanski of Ormond Beach FL and his daughter Dr. Dorothy Iwanski D.O. of Sebastian FL. He is predeceased by his son Michael Iwanski. A private mass and family gathering were held July 28 in Ormond Beach FL. His family suggest that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory in lieu of flowers.
