Marcia Pitt nee Strumer, 67, of Ormond Beach, FL, died February 3, 2014. A Funeral Service in Marcia's honor will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 1:30pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.

She was born September 17, 1946, to Morris and Theresa Strumer in White Plains, New York. Marcia received her Bachelor's of Arts degree at the University of Miami, in Elementary Education, in 1968.She taught in Dade County Florida for 36 years, with 32 of them at Avocado Elementary School in Homestead, Florida. She married her loving husband Kenneth Pitt in 1974 in Miami. They had many good friends in the Homestead area. They shared a life of travel, boating, snow skiing and great times with their Homestead friends. Upon retirement they moved to the Ormond Beach area, to be nearer to family, where they enjoyed golf, traveling, and other activities with their new friends and family.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth; her mother Theresa Strumer, of Altamonte Springs; her sister Rita Kelley, of Ormond Beach; her sister and brother-in-law Jan and Marty Cummins and her niece Maureen of Altamonte Springs; her brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Sherry Pitt of Oklahoma; Grant and Becky Pitt and family; Clint Pitt and family; Trent and Lindsay Pitt and family all of Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice in the name of Marcia Pitt. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond.
