Manuel Ferreira 70 of Palm Coast Florida passed away on May 6 2012 with his loving family by his side at Florida Hospital Flagler Palm Coast Florida. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 8 2012 from 4pm with the memorial service at 7 pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW Palm Coast. A Funeral Service will also be held on May 10th at the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home in Bridgeport CT followed by entombment at the St Michael Cemetery. Manuel was born Villa Seca Chaves Portugal. He lived many years in Shelton Connecticut before moving with his wife Adelaide to Palm Coast seven years ago. Manuel was employed as a mason at Ardmare until his retirement. He was a member of the Vasco Da Gama Club CT for 45 years and the Portuguese Club of Palm Coast for the last 7 years. He will be remembered for his love of soccer especially his favorite team Sporting. He loved spending his time with granddaughters and family caring for vegetable garden reading and watching the history and weather channel. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Josefina Ferreira. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Adelaide Ferreira daughter Bella Brown and her husband Chris of Shelton CT a son Manny Ferreira Jr. of Norwalk CT brother Ventura Ferreira of CT sisters Maria Pereira and her husband John of CT Lucinda Lopes and her husband Armindo of NY and Lucy Pereira of NY. Manuel was also the loving grandfather to his 5 grandchildren Sara Cristina Juliana Rachel and Destiny. He also leaves behind many nieces nephews godchildren family and friends.
