Lynn W. Cline 86 died on December 23 2010 while with his loving wife Carol J Cline. He will be greatly missed.
Lynn was born April 6 1924 in Medford New Jersey and moved to Port Orange from Vermilion OH.
The family of Mr. Cline will accept guests at Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave. Port Orange 32127 on January 2 2011 at 3 p.m. followed with a Funeral Service to celebrate his life at 4 p.m. Mr. Cline will be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville Florida on January 3 2011 at 1 p.m. Ministers Jimmy Sledge and Larry La Douceur will officiate all services.
Lynn served in the U.S. Army Infantry 66th Division 263 Regiment Company B and was awarded combat infantry badge and Bronze Star. He was in the sinking of the S.S. Leopoldville on December 24 1944 the 2nd worst disaster of World War II and three days later was on the front lines fighting the Battle of the Bulge.
Mr. Cline was a member of the American Legion Post 270 Port Orange
Lynn is survived by his bride of 41 years Carol J Cline one daughter Lynnette Paton of Wakeman OH two sons Richard Cline of Springdale Ark and Bradley Cline of Bamberg Germany one stepson Kenneth Kordelski of Lorain OH 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
