Luz E. Roman, 90 of Ormond-By-The Sea, Florida, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at Ormond in the Pines, Ormond Beach, FL
She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on December 14, 1925 to Florencio and Esperanza (Yon) Gonzalez.
She was a teacher in Puerto Rico, and later applied her talents as a seamstress.
She was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) and enjoyed crocheting and sewing.
Luz survived by her daughter, Nilda Sanchez, her sister and brother-in-law, Gladys V. Montanez and her husband Rafael of Ormond By The Sea, by her brother and sister-in-law, Pedro Gonzalez and his wife, Billie Sue of San Antonio, Texas, by her grandchildren, Dalia Sanchez, and Tamara Sanchez, as well her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Rodriguez, Meason Cruz, and Sean Nova.
A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated on Friday, August 12th at 3:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 pm.
