Memorial Services for Lucille S. Eustace 82 will be held on Friday December 2 2005 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Lohman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for the hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Eustace passed away at the Country Cottage Assisted Living Facility in Palm Coast on Monday November 28 2005. She was born in Kannapolis NC on June 2 1923 to Charles & Martha Safrit. Upon graduating from business school Lucille moved from NC to Washington D.C. where she began working for the War Department. This took her to Germany where she worked to help the war effort. After WWII Lucille returned to the US and worked in many capacities for the government until she began raising her family. Lucille always had a love of nature and travel and was very proud of all of the different places around the world she saw with her husband. She was a wonderful homemaker to her family for many years. Lucille moved to Palm Coast from Annapolis MD in 1989. She was a member of the Palm Coast Civic Association the Virginia Club and was one of the first Memorial Hospice Care volunteers in the area.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lt. Col. John M. Eustace in January of 2005 and by her siblings Sherrill Gladys Walter Barley & Ruby. Left to cherish her memories are her children John M. Eustace Jr. of Guatemala Cynthia Stafford of Plano TX Mary Jane ?Mindy? Dollar of Annapolis MD Lisa Bates of Palm Coast Pam Couture of Tuscon AZ & Regina ?GiGi? Jennings of Newburgh NY; grandchildren Jessica Padraic Maggie Charlie Sarah Victoria Katy Jay Jack Joe & Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Dagny Tim & Will and brother Fred Safrit.
