Memorial Services for Lucille W. Ball age 78 who died Friday June 13 2003 with her husband and son Charles at her bedside will be Thursday June 19th at 2pm at Ormond Funeral Home with Rev. David Faile of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach officiating.

Mrs. Ball was born on June 5 1925 in Finley N. Dakota. She resided in Joliet IL for 30 years then moved to Pompano Beach in 1969. She worked as the accountant for Johnston Road Builders in both Illinois and in South Florida for 48 years until retirement. After retirement she attended Jacksonville Theological Seminary and earned her degree in education. She and her husband moved to the Ormond Beach area 5 years ago from Pompano Beach FL.

Lucille was a true businesswoman who enjoyed her career and her volunteer work helping with church business as well. She was a collector and enjoyed her many collectibles she displayed.

A devout Christian Lucille was a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and a former board member of the South Florida District of the Southern Baptist Convention. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years George; her three sons Ken and daughter-in-law Joyce Ball of Kansas City MO; David and daughter-in-law Diane Ball of Fairfield CA; Charles Ball of Ormond Beach FL; her two daughters Rachel and son-in-law Don Moon of Missoula MT; and Mary and son-in-law Ken Gates of California; her sister and brother-in-law Iona and Dr. Alfred Hoehn of Tucson AZ; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
